THE MANCHESTER Co-operative Credit Union (1977) Limited (MCCU) recently hosted its 2025 Blast Off event at the Golf View Hotel in Mandeville under the theme ‘Grow, Transform and Thrive’. The MCCU team was joined by its affiliate entities, whose representatives gave warm greetings in support of MCCU’s 2025 Blast Off event.

The affiliates included the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League (JCCUL), CUNA Caribbean Insurance Jamaica Limited, Quality Network Co-operative Limited, CUMAX Wealth Management, and Jamaica Co-operatives Insurance Agency Limited.

The inaugural Blast Off highlighted the credit union’s positioning of itself to grow, transform and thrive in 2025 and beyond. The event started off with praise and worship, led by gospel artiste Carey Sales, before moving into an insightful session where the respective affiliate companies brought greetings. Guest speaker Georgia Crawford-Williams gave an insightful presentation on transformation. She encouraged the staff members to transform by breaking limits, reshaping their mindset, and stepping into a new and better version of themselves.

General Manager Kerrene Grant Brown delivered a presentation on the company’s growth and strategic plans for 2025. She commended the staff by telling them that they are “the engine of MCCU”, and thanked them for their “invaluable contribution towards the institution’s resilience”.

Grant Brown said: “We can achieve even more greatness in 2025 and beyond”, adding that “the financial year 2025 promises to be a year of growth and transformation for the Manchester Co-operative Credit Union (1977) Ltd.

“There are only three parish credit unions remaining among the 25 credit unions that currently operate in Jamaica. With MCCU being one of them, that speaks volumes for the organisation. MCCU is committed to continue serving its over 50,000 members for decades to come, while building on its achievements over the past 73 years,” Grant Brown said.

The Blast Off was hosted by Katrina Grant-D’Aguilar, JCCUL’s group marketing and communications manager, who did an exceptional job in marshalling the day’s proceedings.
