Teen boy, man charged over Clarks Hill, St Andrew attack
A 17-year-old boy and a 37-year-old man, both from Clarks Hill district, St Andrew, have been charged after allegedly attacking a man they accused of harbouring a stranger in the community.
Jerome Dixon, a mason, has been charged with breaches of the Firearms Act and assault occasioning bodily harm, while the teenager has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.
The incident occurred on the night of Monday, March 31.
According to reports from the Stony Hill police, at about 7:00 p.m., Dixon and the teen approached a man and accused him of harbouring a stranger in the community.
Dixon allegedly pulled a firearm from his waistband and struck the man in the chest, while the 17-year-old reportedly used a machete to hit the man several times.
The man managed to escape.
Following a report of the incident, Dixon and the teen turned themselves in to the police on Saturday, April 5.
They were subsequently charged.
Dixon is scheduled to appear before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Wednesday, April 16, while the teenager is set to appear in court on Monday, May 5.
