St Andrew engineer charged with fraud over land deal

Forty-two-year-old St Andrew engineer Jomo Campbell has been charged with fraud in relation to a land buying deal.

Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that between December 2023 and January 2024, a woman allegedly paid Campbell over $4 million to purchase land. 

According to the police, she later discovered that the land was no longer for sale, and the funds were not reimbursed to her.

A report was made to the police on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. 

Campbell turned himself in to the police on Saturday, May 03, and was charged with fraudulent conversion. 

A court date is being arranged for him.
