Bike taxi operator dies following Negril crash

The Negril Traffic Department in Westmoreland is investigating the death of a 49-year-old bike taxi operator who died following a traffic crash on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Errol Vassell of Big Bridge in the parish.

Reports are that about 7:30 a.m., Vassell was driving along Norman Manley Boulevard in Negril and allegedly made a right turn and was hit by a Toyota Corolla motor car.

He was transported to the Savanna-la-mar Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
