Integrity Commission sends three investigation reports to Parliament
The Integrity Commission has sent three reports of investigations, along with associated indicative rulings from the acting director of corruption prosecution, to Speaker of the House Juliet Holness and President of the Senate Tom Tavares Finson.
A copy of the reports and indicative rulings has also been sent to the Clerk to the Houses of Parliament, Colleen Lowe.
In a release earlier this afternoon, the commission says it anticipates that its investigation reports, which were submitted pursuant to and in conformance with Section 54 of the Integrity Commission Act, together with the associated indicative rulings, will be tabled in both houses of Parliament as soon as possible.
Section 54(4) of the Integrity Commission Act provides that: “Where the Report (from the Director of Investigation) to the Commission has a recommendation under subsection (3), the Commission shall submit it to Parliament for tabling …”
The commission says the documents were formally received and signed for at Gordon House at 11:04 a.m.
Hard copies of the investigation reports were submitted in separate envelopes, under the cover of identical letters to the presiding officials and the clerk.
The indicative rulings were also similarly addressed and submitted in separate envelopes.
A USB flash drive, with PDF electronic copies of all documentation submitted, was also conveyed.
