A parish judge today ruled that Dean Dawson, the man who was held in a vehicle with then St Catherine most wanted, Glendon 'Bull' Amos, has a case to answer and should stand trial.

Dawson is charged with harbouring a fugitive.

His lawyer had argued, among other things, that his client had no knowledge that Amos was a fugitive when they were stopped and accosted by the police in St Ann in January.

The lawyer submitted that the prosecution did not have a case.

However, Senior Parish Court Judge Desiree Alleyne ruled against the submission and determined that a prima facie case was made out against Dawson.

A July 21 trial date was set.

Allegations are that on January 29, 2025, Amos was held by the Joint Anti-Gang Task Force in a car driven by Dawson in Moneague, St Ann.

Amos, who was allegedly wanted for a slew of heinous crimes in the St Catherine North Police Division, including murder, was arrested and charged.

Dawson was subsequently charged with harbouring a fugitive.

Dawson has made several court appearances, during which he has denied knowing that Amos was a wanted fugitive at the time.

He is being represented by attorney-at-law Teddison May-Jackson.
