Man, woman charged after imitation firearm found in Clarendon
The Clarendon police have charged a man and a woman with possession of a prohibited weapon following the seizure of an imitation firearm in Effortville, May Pen, on Saturday.
The accused have been identified as 54-year-old Carlton Howe, a taxi operator, and 47-year-old Julian Ramlal, a labourer.
Both are residents of Donald Avenue in Effortville.
According to reports from the May Pen police, about 5:00 a.m., officers were conducting an operation in the area when they signalled a white Toyota Probox, occupied by Howe and Ramlal, to stop.
During a search of the vehicle, a plastic imitation firearm was reportedly found under the front passenger seat.
Both individuals were arrested and later charged.
