Police probing man's suspected suicide in Linstead, St Catherine

Police operatives in the St Catherine North division have launched an investigation into a case of suspected suicide committed in the parish on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as 47-year-old tradesman Garfield Miller, of Charlemont Housing Scheme, St Catherine.

Reports are that about 11:30 a.m. passersby stumbled upon Miller's body and summoned the police.

On their arrival, Miller's body was found hanging by the neck from a piece of cord suspended from the roof a workshop which he operated.

The scene was examined by the police and the body removed for a post-mortem examination to be conducted.
