Over 1,000 pounds of ganja seized in Rio Nuevo, St Mary

The police's Firearm and Narcotics Investigation Division on Saturday seized over 1,000 pounds of compressed ganja during an operation in Rio Nuevo, St Mary.

The police report that about 10:00 p.m., lawmen on an intelligence-led operation in the area found a Nissan Caravan motor car.

The vehicle was searched and 37 bags of compressed ganja, weighing 1,200 pounds, and four large barrels of gasolene, were found and seized, the police reported.

No one was arrested in relation to the find.
