The police have charged two men in relation to the seizure of cocaine valued at $4 million during a traffic stop along the North-South Highway.

Forty-eight-year-old John Todd and 49-year-old farmer Errol White, both of St Andrew addresses, were on Saturday charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine, trafficking cocaine, and conspiracy to traffic cocaine.

The police report that around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, personnel from the Firearms and Narcotics Investigation Division’s Special Operations Team intercepted a Honda motor car along the St Catherine section of the highway.

The police say the vehicle was searched and seven parcels of cocaine were found.

Todd and White, who were occupants of the vehicle, were arrested and formally charged on Saturday, July 12.
