The Portland Traffic Department is probing the circumstances which led to the deaths of two motorcyclists in a three-vehicle collision on the Snow Hill main road in the parish on Friday.

The deceased men have been identified as 25-year-old Jahmali Morris, a delivery man of Grossett Road, Port Antonio, and 22-year-old Oshane McGhie, an electrician of Zion Hill, both in Portland.

The Port Antonio police say about 1:45 a.m., a 2007 Toyota Caldina motor car was travelling in a westerly direction along the main road when McGhie and Morris, who were both riding motorcycles in the opposite direction, allegedly lost control of their motorcycles and collided with the Toyota Caldina.

Morris and McGhie both had pillions aboard their motorcycle.

The drivers and pillions received multiple injuries and were transported to hospital, where Morris and McGhie were pronounced dead and the others were admitted for treatment.
