The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) says 40 members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) have been charged in relation to its investigations since January last year.

The latest cop to be charged is Constable Patrick Walters in relation to the fatal shooting of his girlfriend D’Jonnay Graham who was killed on June 25.

INDECOM says it prepared and submitted a report for a ruling to the Office of the Director of the Public Prosecutions in relation to that case.

The office ruled he should be charged with murder and using a firearm to commit a felony.

INDECOM says since 2024, ten JCF members and one Jamaica Defence Force member have been charged in relation to 10 fatal shooting cases.
