Spanish Town mason charged after alleged gun attack on neighbour
A 47-year-old mason from Spanish Town in St Catherine has been charged with multiple firearm-related offences following a shooting incident in his community on July 18.
Dave 'Mark' Tapper, of South Montecello Crescent, has been charged with wounding with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition, and using a firearm to commit a felony.
Police reports are that about 11:00 p.m., Tapper allegedly went to the home of a man with whom he had a prior dispute and opened fire, hitting him, according to a police statement issued on Friday.
The injured man managed to escape and later filed a report with the Spanish Town Police. He was taken to hospital, treated, and subsequently released.
Tapper was later taken into custody.
