Kingston man charged with 16-y-o girl's murder

Several charges have been laid against 29-year-old Yashoy Clarke, otherwise called ‘Yashii-Poo’, of Lincoln Crescent, Kingston 5, in relation to the murder of a 16-year-old girl in a 2024 home invasion.

The victim, Bianca Thompson, of Albion Avenue, Kingston 5, was killed on February 25, 2024.

The Denham Town police say about 11:22 p.m., Thompson was at home when Clarke and three other men entered her home and opened gunfire, hitting her in the upper body.

The men escaped and Thompson was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Investigations led to the arrest of Clarke, and he was subsequently charged with murder, shooting with intent, possession of prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of

ammunition and using a firearm to commit a felony.

A court date is being finalised for him.

Another man, 23-year-old Taje Squire, was charged days after the attack with murder, shooting with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and making use of a firearm to commit a felony.

Clarke was among three other men listed as wanted at the time in connection with Bianca’s murder.
