Man gunned down in Green Island, Hanover

A man was gunned down along the Abingdon shoreline in Green Island, Hanover, on Tuesday.

He has been identified by the police as 45-year-old Patcliff James, of Johns Hall in the parish.

It is reported that around 1:30 p.m., James was in the area when he was attacked and shot by armed assailant(s).

The Lucea Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the murder.

The Hanover Police Division has recorded 13 homicides as of August 9.

This represents a 65 per cent year-on-year reduction.
