Lyons was among the cohort of recipients across the island who each received JMD $175,000 as part of WATA’s Hydrate to Educate programme. This year, the initiative provided more than JMD$7 million in back-to-school grants to 42 students across the island – three recipients were selected from each parish. The grant is to assist students with the cost of tuition, books, transportation, and other back-to-school expenses. An awards ceremony was also held in Montego Bay on August 15.
