A St Catherine man who allegedly used an imitation firearm to carry out a robbery in Portmore has been remanded in custody.

He is Jeffrey Parnell of Portmore, St Catherine.

Parnell has been charged with robbery with aggravation, using a prohibited weapon to commit a felony, and being in possession of a prohibited weapon with intent to commit injury.

When he appeared before Senior Parish Court Judge Janelle Nelson-Gayle on Friday, Parnell was ordered remanded until November 21 when he is to appear in the High Court Division, where jurisdiction lies.

Allegations are that on September 28, 2025, Parnell used an imitation firearm to rob the complainant.

A report was made to the police, and Parnell was later arrested and charged following a question-and-answer session.
