A team from the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech), journeyed to the university’s Western Campus in Montego Bay on November 5, to lend support and deliver relief packages to students and staff severely affected by Hurricane Melissa. Supporting the relief efforts at the UTech, Jamaica Western Campus from left are Percival Roberts, president of the UTech, Jamaica Students’ Union, Dr Deon Bennett, dean, Joint Colleges of Medicine, Oral Health and Veterinary Sciences and Marion Brown, vice president and university registrar, UTech, Jamaica. The successful relief mission delivered generators, water, and other critical items, coordinated through the university’s Emergency Operations Centre established in partnership with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
