Three Haitians remanded on illegal entry charges
Three Haitian nationals who were allegedly found in a shed in Old Harbour Bay were remanded when they appeared in the St Catherine Parish Court on Friday.
The accused are Radelairie Desir, Emanae Michael and Eliza Syllable, all of Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
They have been charged with illegal entry.
When they appeared before Parish Court Judge Genetta Smikle, the accused were offered legal representation ahead of their next court date on April 14.
Allegations are that about 10 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, police personnel on patrol in Old Harbour Bay found the two men and a woman inside a shed.
The trio were reportedly interviewed by the police, and it was revealed that they are Haitian nationals who had entered the island illegally.
The Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency was contacted, and the accused were subsequently charged.
