Three sanitation workers have been charged with murder following the killing of a man in Montego Bay, St James earlier this month.

Charged are 23-year-old Akeemo Brooks, otherwise called ‘Keemo’, 39-year-old Miguel Whitelock, and 34-year-old Delwayne Brown, all of Green Pond addresses.

Killed was 35-year-old handyman Andrew Graham, otherwise called ‘Flippa’, also of Green Pond.

Reports from the Montego Bay police are that about 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, residents stumbled upon Graham lying unresponsive and alerted the authorities.

Upon arrival, the police reportedly found him lying on his back with a chop wound to his neck.

He was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Following what investigators described as an intensive probe into the killing, lawmen, acting on information, took Brown and Whitelock into custody on Saturday, March 21, and Brooks a day later.

The three men were formally charged with murder on Tuesday, March 24, after a question-and-answer session.

A court date is being finalised.
