Jamaica's food, music and culture were celebrated at a colourful ribbon-cutting ceremony last Friday night, for Hyatt's first dual-branded all-inclusive resorts on the island - Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall.

Spanning 1,200 feet of private, pristine coastline on the turquoise Caribbean, both resorts, the newest addition to Jamaica's diverse offering, share the same grounds and, according to Hyatt, combine to form an unparalleled, all-inclusive resort experience.

Touting the 'evolution of all-inclusive', the resorts opened to rich fanfare, led by the country's Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller.

Minister of Tourism and Entertainment Dr Wykeham McNeill, chairman and CEO of Playa Hotels and Resorts, Bruce Wardinski, and general manager of the resorts, Carl Hendriks, share in the auspicious occasion witnessed by some 1,500 guests.

According to Hyatt's senior vice-president of all-inclusive operations Carlos Cabrera, the resorts' transformation has been spectacular and true to the offering of two distinctive all-inclusive experiences, "for families and for adults, within one contiguous resort destination".

The iconic beachfront resorts were opened following a US$85-million dollar renovation of the

former Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall.
