It's official! The party season has started and it kicked off with Hennessy 250 anniversary celebration at the Regency Bar and Lounge at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel, on Tuesday night. The black-tie event was attended by all those in the know, filling the 800-capacity venue.

But before this grand celebration, a select few had the opportunity to dine with Hennessy Ambassador Maurice Hennessy at the gorgeous boutique hotel that is the Strawberry Hill Hotel in Irish Town. But more on that soon.

As the liquor flowed - chief among them the Hennessy 250 special cocktail - guests indulged with reckless abandon in hors d'oeuvres and sweet treats aplenty.

The event lit up social media as smartphones were ready, snapping away, with guests making it clear to the world that this was the place to be. While the men, for the most part, adhered to the dress code, quite a number of the fairer sex seemed to have missed the memo, and shortened hemlines showed legs for days. Luckily, said legs were kept busy all night by Coppershot and Kamal Bankay with hits from a variety of genres from pop to the smooth stylings of crowd favourite Beres Hammond.

Never mind that it was a Tuesday. The party had guests letting loose like it was the weekend. If you weren't there you surely missed out on a good time as the J. Wray and Nephew family showed in true Hennessy style how we Jamaicans get down!
