Fifty hours of partying
WESTERN BUREAU:
The face behind Complete Entertainment, Junior Taylor, a man who Montegonians have embraced and accepted, decided that for his 50th birthday celebration, he would do 50 hours of partying, and he never missed a beat.
The celebration commenced last Friday night at the Drambuie Villa in Content, Belmont overlooking The Lagoons where an intimate group of family members and close friends enjoyed an evening of reminiscing, music and food courtesy of Alessandro's catering.
Saturday night was the official party 'Groove Thang' held under the 'Jamaicans Caring for Jamaicans' banner in aid of establishing a recreational centre at the St James infirmary.
Hosted at Day-O Plantation, Junior 'JT' Taylor as he is fondly called, culminated his weekend of activities at Pier 1 on Sunday night for retro seafood Sundays.
Family and friends came from as far as Hungary, Toronto, Houston, New York, Ft. Lauderdale and locally, from Mandeville, Kingston and Falmouth.
In aid of the charity effort, Caribbean Producers Jamaica, Wray & Nephew, Hampden Rums, Rainforest Seafoods, Day-O Plantation all came on board as sponsors.
TODAY brings you the highlights of Saturday's event.
