Breakfast at Tiffany's themed High Tea
The Jamaica Cancer Society (JCS) hosted its annual Charity Tea and Art Auction - dubbed Breakfast at Tiffany's - at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel in St Andrew on Wednesday in a glamorous afternoon event.
"This is a special treat of high tea and fine art for well-wishers, supporters and friends of the Jamaica Cancer Society to spend an elegant afternoon of fun and fundraising in support of a worthy cause," said JCS Executive Director Yulit Gordon.
Before delving into the hotel's full high tea menu, guests browsed the art pieces to be auctioned from the Jamaica Guild of Artists, enjoyed themed photos by The Photo Affair, and sipped specially made hot and cold chocolate mixes, courtesy of Swiss Miss.
Host Patria-Kaye Aarons kept the audience alert and entertained with giveaways and an entertaining auction. The Dennis Rushton Quartet was not to be outdone, as the lead singer walked around the room engaging guests during his set.
All in the spirit of giving cheerfully to a worthy cause, patrons sipped on Select Brands' refreshing options as they enjoyed each other's company and the beautiful summer afternoon, helping the JCS 'fight and defeat cancer in all it's forms'.
