Corporate Jamaica mingles with the JMA
The who is who in corporate Jamaica were hosted by the executives of the Jamaica Manufacturers' Association (JMA) at a mingle, held at the Spanish Court Hotel recently.
In his brief address, past president of the JMA, Brian Pengelley, spoke about his brainchild the JMA's inaugural Jamaica International Exhibition (JIE), to be held at the Montego Bay Convention Centre from June 1-3. He encouraged all present to participate and purchase a booth. "This is for everybody and this puts Jamaica on the trading map around the world. This is our time to shine."
In his remarks, President Metry Seaga noted that the JMA recognises that there is nowhere in the region that has a show of this magnitude. "It is going to be a situation where if you get in now, you get in on the ground floor. If you don't, you won't be able to get in, because it is going to be sold out," he predicted.
JIE is a global expo open to both local and international companies across all industries, including tourism, construction, BPO, agriculture and manufacturing. It is anticipated that hundreds of buyers from across the world will be participating and attending the exhibition.
