The All-Jamaica Senior Badminton

Championships sponsored jointly by the

Badminton Association and JAMINTEL

will end tonight at the National Arena

starting at 7.00

The finals to ,be contested tonight are

men's and women's singles, men's and worn

en's doubles, mixed doubles, married

couples doubles and consolation mixed,

doubles for those players who lost their first

round matches.

Defending champion George Hugh was tipped to retain his men's singles title and

up to last 'night when the quarter-finals and

semis were played he was still to be tested.

He could face either second seed, Sammy

Leyow. third seed Victor Ziadie, Dudley

Chen fourth seed or Leacroft Small the fifth seed in the final, providing Hugh or the other players do not fall in upsets.

The same thing applies in the men's

doubles where the top pair Hugh and Leyow

could face either defending champion Ziadie

and Brian Haddad in a repeat of last year's,

final which they lost in two sets. This was the only title that eluded Hugh and deprived him of the triple crown.
