Three win 1-0 in RSPL
THREE of four Red Stripe Premier League football matches played on a wet Sunday ended in 1-0 wins.
Another match, slated for the corporate area, was rained out.
Arnett Gardens, with a goal from Michaelous Martin at the 47th minute, edged Rivoli United 1-0 at Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex.
Waterhouse also made home advantage count, as they eked out victory over Humble Lion through a 27th-minute penalty by Nicholy Finlayson.
Boys' Town emerged the day's other winner, as they travelled east and beat Harbour View 1-0 in a corporate area derby at Harbour View Stadium. Rafeik Thomas scored the only goal, a penalty at the 57th minute.
goalless finish
Sporting Central Academy and Reno battled out a goalless finish in the other matchup yesterday, as thunderous showers forced match officials to call off the Cavalier-Tivoli Gardens mid-afternoon battle before the start, at Stadium East.
The round's other contest, between Barbican and Montego Bay United, was postponed to Thursday.
