The 2016 'Bring Back the Love' after Labour Day football fiesta promises another day of exciting football entertainment and a fun family outing this Monday, Labour Day, at the Constant Spring football field at 5 p.m.

The event, which is organised by Clive 'Busy' Campbell and which is in its 20th year, was launched at the Alhambra Inn on Wednesday, where it was announced that music icon Carlene Davis and renowned journalist Earl Moxam will be the honourees at this year's staging of the charity football event.

However, Campbell insists that the main focus of the annual event is to generate assistance (funding and equipment) for less fortunate institutions.

"Proceeds from the event last year were used to purchase computers and printers for basic schools and it is our intention to continue," he stated. "It is our intention to bring technology to the youths in the inner city. It is our duty, as much as possible, to give them a chance.

"So until we play our part in a meaningful way, years from now, we will still be speaking to the youths and the ills of the inner city, as education is the only way out, and we are committed to that task," the veteran football aficionado commented.

This year's game will be between the Entertainers Invitational and Sponsor's Invitational teams. The teams will be selected from Aidonia, Chris Martin, Wayne Marshall, Agent Sasco, Ricardo 'Bibi' Gardner, Charley Black, Iba Mahr, Jermaine Mason, No-maddz, Ian Wilkinson, Ian McNaughton, Damion Gordon, Audley Boyd, Rudolph Speid, Hugh 'Bingy' Blair, Michael 'Jah Mikes' Williams, among other former football stars and music celebrities.

Admission for the event is $400. Children will be required to pay $100, while kids under 12 will be allowed free entry.
