#glnrCHAMPS: Class Three female long jumpers contend with high winds

High winds at the National Stadium reflected in the results of the qualifying for the Class Three Girls Long Jump at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys & Girls Athletic Championships. The qualifiers had to contend with breezes as high as +5.8 m/s.

Convent of Mercy’s Aaliyah Lindsay jumped a wind-aided 5.70m (+2.5 m/s) to qualify for the final. Samantha Jibbson of Holmwood leapt 5.69m (+1.7m/s), Ackelia Smith of Edwin Allen 5.60m, and Suzette Palmer 5.60m were the top qualifiers.

The final is set for 2:45 p.m. Saturday.
