PENN RELAYS 2017 - Record run by Edwin Allen

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania
EDWIN  Allen High became the first high school girls 4x100 metres relay team to go sub-44 seconds at the Penn Relays this afternoon.
   

Led by an outstanding second leg from young Kevona Davis they smashed Vere Technical's 13-year-old record of 44.32 seconds with a new mark of 43.96.
   

Jamaican teams swept the first four places.  St Jago  High 44.53, Hydel High 44.56 and St Catherine High 45.26 finished  second, third and fourth respectively.
