Thompson lone Jamaican in London DL 100m final

LONDON, England:
Elaine Thompson is the only Jamaican through to the final of the women's 100m at the Muller London Anniversary Games after a relaxed second place run in the heat inside the London Olympic Stadium.
Thompson eased to 11.16 to finish behind Blessing Okagbare, 11.04 and ahead of Asha Phillip, 11.18 in the opening heat, which also included another Jamaican in Sashalee Forbes, who was fifth in 11.36.
Christania Williams also failed to make it to the next round with a sixth place finish in 11.34.
That heat was won by Dafne Schippers in 10.96 with Michelle-Lee Ahye, 11.05 taking second place ahead of Murielle Ahoure, 11.06.
The final takes place at 2:40 p.m. (8:40 a.m. Jamaica time).
