(From left) Alvin Wint, Richard Gomes, Stephen Todd, Tony Gambrill and Everton Morgan are all smiles after the staging of the annual Stephen Potter Tennis tournament, which was played at The Liguanea Club on Sunday.

The annual Stephen Potter Tennis Tournament, started in 2005, was played at The Liguanea Club on Sunday, February 25.

For the first time in the tournament's history, two teams tied for first place.

The Richard Gomes-Alvin Wint doubles team appeared well ahead, but right at the end, the Stephen Todd-Everton Morgan duo showed their strength to tie the match.

Merrick Marshall-Rachel McLarty followed closely whilst Norman Marshall-Laura Tanna won few games.

Presentation of the invaluable Genie trophy was made by Professor Marshall Hall at the founder's (columnist, Mr Tony Gambrill) home over lunch.

Players' families applauded the trophy handover by the Professor. It appeared that everyone in attendance valued his presentation of pineapples to the founder and to the players more than his forgettable address. Rosie McIver appeared keen to play in next year's tournament.
