Jamaica look to move one step closer to U-15 crown
Undefeated Jamaica will attempt to move one step closer to securing their first Cricket West Indies Under-15 title since 2011 when they play defending champions Barbados in the third round at Chedwin Park today.
The Phillip Service-coached Jamaicans have so far recorded successive victories over title rivals Trinidad and Tobago and the Leeward Islands
Barbados, in the meantime, will be seeking to revive the defence of their crown after losing their first match to Trinidad and rebounding with victory over Windward Islands.
The matchup will be one of three games, with Trinidad facing Guyana at Windalco Oval in St Catherine and Leewards and Windwards squaring off at Jamalco Oval in Clarendon.
Set to lead the charge for Jamaica are captain and batsman Sanjay Walker and batting all-rounder Jordan Johnson, who bowls leg-spin.
The duo is the team's most experienced players and, so far, have been outstanding with bat and ball, respectively.
Manchester High representative Walker made top scores of 51 and 49 in the opening two rounds. Johnson, who attends Wolmer's, claimed five for 35 and four for 37.
Jamaica will play Guyana at Jamalco on Monday and the Windwards at Melbourne on Wednesday in their final fixture.
The top team on points at the end of the round-robin championship will be crowned champions.
