Penn Relays | Hydel on course for 4x400m three-peat
Defending champions Hydel stayed on course to make it three in a row in the girls 4x400m at the 2019 Penn Relays in Pennsylvania, USA, after posting 3:39.98.
This was powered by an impressive 52.91 second leg run by Charokee Young. The other members of the team were Garriel White, Taffari Rose and Oneika McAnuff.
They will be joined by five other Jamaican teams in Holmwood 3:41.06, Spalding 3:44.54, Petersfield 3:46.61, Queen's 3:47.26 and Edwin Allen High 3:47.81. The finals will get underway today at 4:05 p.m.
Meanwhile, Edwin Allen picked up their second individual win at the meet after Ackelia Smith's 13.02m in the triple jump. Carifta Games Under 20 champion Lotavia Brown, also from Edwin Allen, finished second with 12.93m with Hydel High's Rhianna Phipps coming in third with 12.75m.
Immaculate High's Danielle Sloley picked up the other individual win after a first-place finish in the Shot Put with a heave of 14.38m.
