JCA T20 semi-final postponed

The semi-final round of play in the Jamaica Cricket Association’s (JCA) JamT20 Bashment competition has been postponed until Saturday, June 22. The postponement is due to a decision made by JCA’s Competitions & Complaints Committee following a review of the abandoned match in Zone D between Portland CA and UWI CC at the Folly Oval in Portland on Sunday, June 9.

The match, which commenced at 11:35 a.m., was called off about midway in the first over, with the umpires citing pitch, preparation deficiencies driving their decision. The matter was then referred to the Competitions & Complaints Committee.

MATCH REVIEW

Following a review of reports submitted by the match officials and participating teams, the committee ruled that the fixture in question be replayed on Saturday, June 15, at 11 a.m. However, the venue will be changed to the UWI Mona Bowl.

The match is significant as it has a bearing on the final standing in Zone D of the competition.
