Despite three wickets from Windies Captain Jason Holder, half centuries from India captain Virat Kohli and opener Mayank Agarwal have handed India a slight advantage following day one action in the first Test at Sabina Park today.

The visitors, who were sent into to bat, closed on 264 for five with Hanuma Vihari not out on 42, and with him is wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant on 27.

Earlier, captain Virat Kohli hit 10 fours in his knock of 76, with opener Mayank Agarwal weighing in with 55, which included seven fours.

Captain Jason Holder, who bowled with excellent control on the day, has so far taken three for 39 from 20 overs, with debutant off spinner Rahkeem Cornwall bagging one for 69.

Opening pacer Kemar Roach, who also bowled an excellent line and length, claimed one for 47.

Play continues tomorrow with day two action at 9:30 am.
