Sanguinetti lauds successful King Alarms Jr tourney
Tournament director David Sanguinetti says he is pleased what what he describes as a successful staging of the King Alarm Junior Tennis Tournament at the Eric Bell Tennis Centre in Kingston last weekend.
“Forty matches were played in one day and my only disappointment was that we were not able to play the doubles, because players were entered in more than one age group,” Sanguinetti said.
He was however happy that they were able to complete the consolation matches.
“This was a very important feature of the tournament as it gave everybody a chance to play two matches and we did those down by Wolmer’s Boys School,” he said.
Sanguinetti is looking forward to the next series in the competition, which will be held on November 2 and 3.
“Here, we are going to ensure that all the matches are played as we will have to tweak the event a bit by allowing players to one single and a double only,” he said.
