Under-20 double sprint World Champion Briana Williams broke the national under-20 100m record on Sunday.
Williams, 19 years old, ran 11.01 seconds, at the JAC Summer Open in Jacksonville, Florida. In doing this, she eclipsed the previous time of 11.02s, which she set at the Great Southwest Classic in Albuquerque, New Mexico almost two years ago.
Williams ran two of four races in the two-day event and now faces compatriot Veronica Campbell-Brown, USA's English Gardner, and Bahamian Tynia Gaither in the semi-final at the same venue on Monday.
