Jamaica lead Suriname 2-0 at half-time in Group C of the 2021 Gold Cup at the Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
Shamar Nicholson opened the scoring in the sixth minute while Bobby Reid doubled the advantage in the 26th minute with a one-time effort from outside the penalty area. Suriname's best chance came in the seventh minute as Gleofilo Vlijter was one-on-one with Jamaican goalkeeper Andre Blake but his shot went wide.
Jamaica took three shots in the first half, all of them on target.
