OLYMPIANS Briana Williams and Shericka Jackson advanced to the semi-finals of the women's 60 metres after preliminary round action at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Belgrade, Serbia on Friday.

Williams clocked a personal best 7.06 seconds to win the sixth and final heat in the second fastest time.

Competing in heat five, Jackson finished second in 7.16 behind Great Britain's Daryl Neita who won in 7.13.The fastest time was registered by American Mikiah Brisco who won heat three in a personal best 7.03. Another American, Marybeth Sant-Price, was third fastest. She took heat one in 7.07.

The semi-finals will take place at 12:15 p.m. Jamaican time later today.
