JPL: Dunbeholden still in front
Leaders Dunbeholden and second place Waterhouse scored impressive wins in the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) on Monday night at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex in Arnett Gardens.
In the night's opening match, Dunbeholden, with two goals from Peter McGregor (3rd and 18th minutes), defeated 10-man Molynes United 2-1. Jaheim Harris scored for Molynes United in the 24th minute.
Waterhouse kept in touch with the leaders after blanking Portmore United 3-0 in the night's second match. After a goalless first half Waterhouse scored three times in 11 minutes to stun Portmore. Shaqueil Bradford got the opener in the 66th and Cardel Benbow then hit the back of the net twice, in the 72nd and 77th minutes.
With tonight's win Dunbeholden moved to 35 points from 15 games. Waterhouse are next with 33 from the same number of games. Arnett Gardens are third with 31 points, also from 15 games.
