Wilson is national high jump champion

Lushane Wilson clears 2.18 metres at the first time of asking to claim the national senior high jump title at the JAAA National Senior and Junior Athletics Championships inside the National Stadium this evening.

GC Foster College's Lushane Wilson captured the men's national senior high jump title at the JAAA National Senior and Junior Athletics Championships this afternoon.

Wilson cleared the bar at 2.18 metres on his first attempt for victory. University of South Florida's Romaine Beckford was second, clearing the same height but needed two attempts. MVP Track Club's Raymond Richards was third in 2.15.

The automatic world qualification height is 2.33.
