Jamaicans out top spots as Dom Rep’s Cofil wins women’s 400m

Fiodaliza Cofil of the Dominican Republic led a Caribbean one-two finish in the women's 400 metres at the Diamond League meet in Brussels today.
Cofil clocked 49.80 seconds for victory while World Championships bronze medallist Sada Williams of Barbados was second in 50.15. Cynthia Bolingo of Belgium was third in a national record of 50.19 seconds.
World Championship 4x400 metres silver medallist Candice McLeod was fifth in 50.76 seconds, while 2013 World Championship bronze medalist Stephanie-Ann McPherson was eighth in 51.73.
