Tallawahs beat Amazon Warriors by four wickets

BASSETERRE, St Kitts (CMC):

LED BY in-form batsmen Rovman Powell and Brandon King, the Jamaica Tallawahs defeated Guyana Amazon Warriors by four wickets in the fourth game of the Men’s Caribbean Premier League at Warner Park here on Saturday.

Powell, skipper of the Jamaican franchise, belted an unbeaten 44 and King 32 as their team scored 143 for six in reply to Guyana Amazon Warriors' 142 for six off 20 overs.

AMAZON WARRIORS 142 for six off 20 overs (Shimron Hetmyer 39, Romario Shepherd 36 not out, Shai Hope 25; Mohammad Amir 3-22, Migael Pretorius 2-35).

TALLAWAHS 143 for six off 19.2 overs (Rovman Powell 44 not out, Brandon King 32; Gudakesh Motie 2-10).
