Jamaica College's Kevaugn Wilson scored a brace.

Jamaica College (JC) are officially into the ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup second round after solidifying their position at the top of Group B today courtesy of a 3-0 win over St Jago High at the Spanish Town Prison Oval today.

Goals by Kevaughn Wilson in the ninth and 31st minutes and another by J’Havier Lynch in the 81st propelled JC to 22 points after eight matches. They sit comfortably atop Group B with second-placed St Catherine on 16 points from seven matches and St Jago third on 12 from eight.

JC can only be passed in the points standing by St Catherine.

The Davion Ferguson-coached JC controlled the action for most of the match with St Jago periodically enjoying good spells without making an impact in front of goal.

Wilson fired in his first from the penalty spot after a foul inside the penalty area, before further silencing the partisan crowd with a powerhouse from the fringes of the 18-yard box that dipped after going over goalkeeper Shamore Dawkins.

Dawkins was beaten again when Lynch rose high to head home a corner.

JC got several other opportunities throughout the match but were either denied by goalkeeper Dawkins or poor finishing.
