PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania:
Calabar High’s thrower Kobe Lawrence picked up the first win for Jamaican athletes at the Penn Relays on the opening day of competition today.
Lawrence improved on his second-place finish last year to win the high school boys' Championships of America shot put with a heave of 20.93 metres. Shaquan Dunn of St Jago was third with 18.07 metres.
