#TRIALS2023 | Dejanea Oakley fastest through to U-20 girls’ 400m final
University of Texas’s Dejanea Oakley is through to the final of Under-20 girls’ 400 metres as the fastest qualifier, following her 53.51 seconds to win semi-final one at the National Senior and Junior Championships (Trials) at the National Stadium today.
Edwin Allen’s Tonyan Beckford, the winner of semi-final two, stopped the clock at 54.94 seconds to punch her ticket as the second-fastest qualifier.
Joining the pair of Oakley and Beckford in the final, which will be contested at 5:23 p.m. tomorrow, are Leanna Lewis (Edwin Allen), Kitania Headley (St. Catherine), Shanque Williams (St. Elizabeth Technical) Oneika Brissett (Williams Knibb), Moya Mitchell (Vere Technical) and Sherika Thomas (Glengoffe).
