Jamaica's Adelle Tracey grimaces as she gets ready to make her move during the opening round of the 1500 metres at the World Athletics Championships inside the National Athletics Centre in Budapest, Hungary this morning.

Jamaica’s Adelle Tracey, the country’s lone representative in the women’s 1500 metres at the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, booked her spot in the semi-final round of that event this morning.

Tracey, running in the fourth and final heat, finished fifth, crossing the line in four minutes, 3.67 seconds. The race was won by Ethiopia’s Hirut Meshesha, who clocked 4:03.47. Kenya’s Nelly Chepchirchir is the fastest through to the semi-final round with 4:00:87, accomplished in heat one.

The semifinal gun goes off 10:05 a.m. Jamaica time on Sunday.
