TruSHAKE signs top jockeys in exciting new endorsement deal

Caymanas Park is abuzz with excitement at the announcement of a groundbreaking endorsement deal between the local brand, TruSHAKE, and three of the country’s best jockeys: Tevin Foster, Reyan Lewis, and Javaneil Patterson.

Speaking at the official signing of the endorsement deal on Tuesday, Christopher Wills, VP operations at Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL), operators of Caymanas Park, expressed his excitement at the partnership.

“We are very excited about this partnership, as it stands as a resounding endorsement of SVREL’s efforts to elevate horse racing and create a thriving ecosystem around it. Jamaica has no shortage of outstanding sportsmen and women in many other sporting disciplines. TruSHAKE could have chosen to work with anyone else. However, they have made the decision to sign this deal with these exceptional horsemen. For us, that’s a big deal,” Wills said.

Lauren Mahfood, marketing manager, Trade Winds Citrus Limited, manufacturers of TruSHAKE, was thrilled to bring the jockeys onboard as their newest brand ambassadors.

“The decision to sponsor and align TruSHAKE with these jockeys was an easy one. Jockeys are very mindful about what they consume, as they have to maintain a strict diet and weight for the horse. TruSHAKE will be able to perfectly support the jockeys’ meal plan and help them achieve their goal weight while providing them with the nutrients their body needs to stay active and healthy,” said Mahfood.

The three jockeys, Foster, Lewis, and Patterson, have collectively ridden more than 800 mounts in 2023 and are all ranked in the top 10, with Lewis being the current leader and boasting a remarkable 82 wins so far this year. Lewis expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to partner with TruSHAKE.

“I’m very pleased to be one of three jockeys chosen to have a company invest in us. I see my job as a jockey as very important to the business of horse racing and this partnership will go a long way in helping us achieve our goals on and off the track. I’m very thankful for the opportunity,” he said after inking the deal.

Wills thanked TruSHAKE for their involvement.

“This endorsement deal is much-deserved recognition of the hard work of these jockeys. These men work hard and are all currently ranked in the top 10 winningest jockeys so far this year. Their dedication and sheer determination have not only earned them this prestigious endorsement but will cement their place among the best in the sport. The endorsement contract runs for 15 months, from September 2023 to December 2024.
