Google's email service Gmail is down for many users across the world with users unable to log in.

According to thousands of users, Google's Gmail service is experiencing problems and many people say they are unable to log in with some unable to access the website at all.

According to Outage.report, some 45 per cent of users can't access the site with 25 per cent unable to log in.

A further 22 per cent say they can't access email on devices.

Both Downdetector and Outage.report are relaying users reports with several thousand people complaining that the service has been offline since around 11:00 a.m today.

It seems that users in the UK are widely affected with pockets of complaints rolling in from mainland Europe, India, the US, and South America.

Roughly an hour after the first report users are still reporting problems with the service.

However, reports do seem to be slowing.

Google contacted Mirror Online to explain that the issues from this morning should now be resolved for users.

The company's status page apologises for the inconvenience and explains that the company is continually making improvements to ensure its services are as reliable as possible.
